Treatments

Acupuncture

is a traditional Chinese medical treatment that regulates functions of organs to correct pathological changes. A wide range of illnesses can be treated by acupuncture which involves the insertion of fine stainless steel needles into the body surface at vital points

 

Tui Na

is an ancient holistic Chinese treatment used to restore the body, mind and spirit to the healthiest possible condition by ensuring the best energy flows between muscles and bones. Tui Na ultimately goes way beyond, over and above mere massage techniques. Unlike many other informally-taught treatments, Tui Na has a recognised and formal qualification structure in China. Indeed final Master qualification is only granted by the Government’s overarching body. 

 

Bone-setting Therapy

is a traditional Chinese medicine treatment that motor diseases like bone fracture and joint dislocation through pulling, repositioning and aligning etc, with small splints keeping the broken bones in position.  The Therapy has its long history of practice and characterize by “no operations, no medications, quick recovery and comparatively low expenses”.  It is quite like a combination of Chiropractic, Opstepathic and Physical Therapic but practiced way before the advant of western style Chiropractic, opstepathic and physical therapic. 

 

 

Moxibustion

is a traditional technique that involves the burning of dried mugwort close to the skin to warm the body and to facilitate healing process

 

Gua Sha

is a healing technique used but little known in the West. It involves scrapping on the skin by a round-edged instrument; to draw the heat or static blood out of the body.

 

Cupping

refers to an ancient practice in which a cup is applied to the skin and the pressure in the cup is reduced (by using change in heat or by suctioning out air), so that the skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup. Cupping is applied to regions of the body that are affected by pain or tension.

 

Herb 

is the therapeutic use of plants to treat disease and enhance general health and wellbeing. It has been studied and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. In recent years, interest in herbal medicine has skyrocketed, leading to a greater scientific interest in the medicinal use of plants. Many international studies have shown that plants are capable of treating disease and improving health, often without any significant side effects. Herb can act on the body as powerfully as synthetic drugs and should be treated with the same care and respect. 

Please note osteoporosis, arthritis and spur conditions cannot be entirely cured by our therapies and treatments. Certain symptoms due to these conditions can be improved by applying the treatments. If you have any of these conditions, please discuss with your therapist.
